True Love Waits is a half-day workshop for students taught in Filipino public schools and colleges. Through these workshops, Derek and Amanda share God's definition of love and encourage the youth to recognize the Biblical value of delaying intimacy until marriage. Manila has 1 million college students and over 4 million high school students. Reaching Manila's youth is just the beginning -- nationwide, there are more than 20 million youth between the ages of 15 and 24.
In order to reach so many students, Derek is training youth leaders to go into the schools and share with students. In May, 2004 Derek met with 45 colleges and conducted a seminar for deans of student affairs and guidance counselors. Since then, God has continued to open campuses for this ministry all over the country.

Pray for the 2010 mission ministry in the Philippines. Through your support of our
missionaires, FBC Boerne is reaching more than 1,000,000 youth with the Gospel
each year.
This FBC Boerne Ministry led by Derek & Amanda Ross has four fulltime Filipino staff;
Franco Ferrer, 25, Ree Soria, 30, Oda Zapanta, 27, and Leslie Vergara, 23.
Paul and Sherry Sudolcan and their five children joined the Ross's in 2009. The
Sudolcans left their position as Staff from FBC Floresville, Texas.
The regular need for Derek & Amanda is support from individuals which
ranges from $50.00 to $100.00 monthly.

Missionaries have special needs. The 2010 need for Derek & Amanda is a family van.
The Ross's are praying for $7,000.00 to purchase a 2006 Toyota Van. (Designated
for Family Van).

Derek and Amanda have been married since 1992 and have five children:
Sunday, Honor, Cannon, Ada, and Eli. Derke, an Oklahoma native and a
member of the Wichita tribe, is a former U.S. Marine. Amanda is a graduate
of Sam Houston State University. Together, they owned and operated a
renovation and construction business before their call to missions in 2001.
They have been working with Filipino students in Manila since 2003.
