Mike Harkrider
Senior Pastor
Pastor Mike came to FBC in June, 2005 from Temple where he had served 10 years as Senior Pastorof Immanuel Baptist Church.

He has been married to wife Pat since 1981 and they have two grown daughters who married in summer 2010. Pat has a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant. She has served alongside Mike in his ministry, especially serving the women of the congregation.

Mike accepted Christ as his Savior when he was 11, and sensed God’s call to the Ministry in October, 1978 during a revival at his home church, Sagamore Hill Baptist Church in Fort Worth. He was ordained there in 1981.

After completing his Bachelor of Business Administration in 1982 from Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, he received his Master of Divinity in 1988 from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, also in Fort Worth. He served as Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church in Eden, Texas as well as Minister of Youth to several different Texas churches.

Mike’s gifts are faith, service, proclamation, and administration.
