Kathy also serves on the LifeWay Women’s Ministry Training Team. \nKathy and her husband raised three children and have been married for more than 40 years. Wayne\, a petroleum engineer\, retired from Conoco-Phillips. During Wayne’s long career\, the family moved seven times. They began in the heart of Cajun country in south Louisiana. The family spent six years in Casper\, Wyoming. They lived twice in Midland\, Texas\, and twice in the Houston area. But the family’s overall favorite location was the six years they spent in Alberta\, Canada\, in sight of the Canadian Rockies. While in Alberta\, the family enjoyed camping\, hiking\, and snow skiing! \nAfter Wayne’s retirement\, the couple moved just outside the Dallas/Ft Worth area to be near family. Wayne and Kathy have two daughters\, one son\, two sons-in-law\, one daughter-in-law\, five grandsons\, and one spoiled granddaughter. \nThrough her books\, website\, and speaking events\, Kathy shares her passion for God’s Word and encourages women to live an unshakeable faith for life. She provides free discipleship resources and blogs regularly at www.KathyHoward.org.

SUMMARY:Fall Women's Bible Studies
DESCRIPTION:It starts on August 20 with a kick-off and registration and concludes on November 19 with a celebration. Participants must choose one session from August 20 to September 10 and one from September 24 to November 19. The cost for the combined sessions is $30. \nAugust 20-September 10 \n\nEven If\, Habakkuk – Facilitators:  Leatha McConnell/Liz Mathes\nHow do we praise the Lord even when life is hard? What does it mean to trust God when life doesn’t go as planned? This study on the book of Habakkuk seeks to answer these questions.\nWaiting for Hope – Facilitator:  Maricia Gregory\nWhat do you do when you are stuck in the in-between? How do you remain faithful as you wait for God’s help and provision in a desperate situation? Malachi is the last book of the Old Testament—the final book before a 400-year period of silence. In Malachi\, we encounter God’s people as they painstakingly wait for the Messiah. Even though the wait was long and hard\, Malachi teaches us that they can wait with hope because the One who was coming—Jesus—was their hope.\n\nSeptember 24-November 19 \n\nNavigating Gospel Truth – by Rebecca McLaughlin; Facilitators:  Kelly Kuhl/Bette Yost\nThe Gospels—Matthew\, Mark\, Luke\, and John—are four accounts of one extraordinary life. While exploring the literary terrain of the gospels\, you’ll learn to identify and understand the different kinds of writing in these ancient texts\, including narrative\, poetry\, parable\, and more. Through this journey\, your confidence in the truth of Scripture will be renewed\, and you’ll gain a more captivating view of the Savior. And along the way\, you’ll acquire skills that will help you become a better student of all Scripture.\nHeaven: When Faith Becomes Sight – by Jennifer Rothschild; Facilitators:  Sandra Radtke/Laura Wilson\nHeaven. Who goes there? Where is it? What will we do there? Jennifer Rothschild explores the subject of Heaven from a biblical perspective. She will separate what’s true about Heaven from what’s based on legend\, media depictions\, and hopeful guesses. As you walk through the study\, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of what God has prepared for His children and learn how to live with confidence today as you look forward to the glorious unending that awaits. Don’t just wonder about Heaven—embrace it with a faith that turns anticipation into excitement and peace.
