- Even If, Habakkuk – Facilitators: Leatha McConnell/Liz Mathes
How do we praise the Lord even when life is hard? What does it mean to trust God when life doesn’t go as planned? This study on the book of Habakkuk seeks to answer these questions. - Waiting for Hope – Facilitator: Maricia Gregory
What do you do when you are stuck in the in-between? How do you remain faithful as you wait for God’s help and provision in a desperate situation? Malachi is the last book of the Old Testament—the final book before a 400-year period of silence. In Malachi, we encounter God’s people as they painstakingly wait for the Messiah. Even though the wait was long and hard, Malachi teaches us that they can wait with hope because the One who was coming—Jesus—was their hope.
September 24-November 19
- Navigating Gospel Truth – by Rebecca McLaughlin; Facilitators: Kelly Kuhl/Bette Yost
The Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—are four accounts of one extraordinary life. While exploring the literary terrain of the gospels, you’ll learn to identify and understand the different kinds of writing in these ancient texts, including narrative, poetry, parable, and more. Through this journey, your confidence in the truth of Scripture will be renewed, and you’ll gain a more captivating view of the Savior. And along the way, you’ll acquire skills that will help you become a better student of all Scripture. - Heaven: When Faith Becomes Sight – by Jennifer Rothschild; Facilitators: Sandra Radtke/Laura Wilson
Heaven. Who goes there? Where is it? What will we do there? Jennifer Rothschild explores the subject of Heaven from a biblical perspective. She will separate what’s true about Heaven from what’s based on legend, media depictions, and hopeful guesses. As you walk through the study, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of what God has prepared for His children and learn how to live with confidence today as you look forward to the glorious unending that awaits. Don’t just wonder about Heaven—embrace it with a faith that turns anticipation into excitement and peace.
