POSITION DESCRIPTION

First Baptist Church Boerne is a gospel-centered multi-generational church family that highly values Growth Groups and living our lives on mission for Jesus Christ. All of our worship service and ministry events are designed to support and advance this mission. The Production Director will work under the direction of the Worship Pastor in providing AVL support for all regular worship services, ministry events, and non-ministry events held on campus (conferences, weddings, funerals, etc.).

The Production Director reports to the Worship Pastor and will be appraised by him. This person will be employed by the church on a full time, exempt, salaried basis via an employment contract that specifies salary and benefits. The normal work schedule for this individual will be Sunday to Thursday, although there is a need for attendance at rehearsals and some church meetings held in the evenings and weekend days. This position may be given a defined delegation of spending authority as determined by the Church Council. Hiring and termination decisions will be made per the church’s Hiring, Termination, and Discipline Policy.

QUALIFICATIONS

General:

    • Relevant work experience in a church.

Professional:

    • Proficient in technical elements of worship services, including but not limited to:

    • House Audio / Monitor mixing

    • ProPresenter video projection software

    • Architectural and theatrical lighting systems

    • Live video production (live streaming, video recording, etc.)

    • Video editing software

    • Able to learn and master new technology quickly and thoroughly

    • High-level interpersonal, relational, and leadership skills

    • Attend and actively participate in all-staff meetings and Worship Ministry staff meetings

DUTIES

Maintain a lifestyle of blamelessness as described in the Lifestyle Covenant in the FBC Boerne Structure Document.

    • Personal holiness with appropriate accountability.

    • Personal disciplines of prayer, Bible study, giving.

Oversee all aspects of the production ministry for all regular worship services and other worship events and venues. This will include:

    • Serve as primary Front of House Audio Engineer.

    • Cast vision for the use of AVL in worship at FBC Boerne

    • Coordinate and manage production, including scheduled rehearsals, for regular worship services and other worship events

    • Initiate communication with ministers, ministry leaders, and event coordinators in order to provide support for AVL needs

    • Shoot and edit video (testimonies, weekly announcements, etc.) for worship services and events, with assistance from volunteers and/or other church staff

Lead and manage the people, environment, and processes associated with the production ministry.

    • Manage the production environment, including care, recommendations, and operation of equipment and facilities of the Worship Center and other ministry venues on the FBC Boerne campus

      • Oversee and maintain all AVL equipment

      • Maintain a budget for maintenance of current AVL equipment

      • Remain current with the AVL technology marketplace and recommend AVL technology upgrades

    • Lead and develop staff, contractors, and volunteers designated to the production ministry. This will include recruitment/identification, mentoring, and training in accordance with their respective responsibilities and potential.

      • Passion to attract, recruit, equip, and schedule volunteers for AVL support in worship services and other events (conferences, weddings, funerals, etc.)

      • Meet regularly (every 3-6 months) with the volunteer team for training, encouragement, and fellowship

      • Coordinate with, train, and supervise any contract personnel in the production ministry (i.e., sound, video, streaming, lighting)

FBC Boerne is hiring a part-time Kingdom Care (childcare) Worker. We are looking for the right candidate to provide dependable, safe, secure, and nurturing care to the children while at our Church. Responsibilities include: providing age-appropriate care, which includes: feeding, changing diapers, escorting to the bathroom, maintaining a safe environment, holding, or sitting with and cheerfully interacting with children through games, stories, craft time, play, and prayer.

Hours include Sundays, Monday mornings, Wednesdays, as well as other special events.

Qualifications:

  • Be a Christian.
  • Have experience in caring for children between the ages of 0 to 4 with the ability to adapt and interact with a variety of personalities.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Be in good health, with the ability to bend, stoop, lift, and physically take care of children.
  • Satisfactory completion of a background check.
  • Satisfactory completion of CPR training for infants and children within three months of employment.
  • Must adhere to First Baptist Church Child Protection Policy Guidelines.
  • Must provide three references.
