Foster parents are needed desperately across the state of Texas – perhaps now more than ever. More than 400,000 children are in foster care in the United States, including more than 31,000 in Texas alone.

As Christians, we’re called to “look after orphans and widows in their distress” (James 1:27) and to help “the least of these” (Matthew 25:40). Churches are uniquely equipped to spread the word about the needs of these vulnerable children and the great need for foster parents and to provide a community of support for families who decide to become foster parents.
