Wednesdays at FBC

September 27, 2023

Wednesdays at FBC are the perfect mid-week break for you, your family, and your neighbors to pause from the craziness of life and grow deeper in your faith.

DAYTIME

Join us for FBCWomen Spring 2024 Bible Studies on Wednesday mornings from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM in the Family Life Building from March 21 through May 15

For His Glory by Marion Jordan Ellis  / Cost: $14 / Led by: Lori Rogers

An in-depth study of Ephesians to help us dismantle the lies we’ve believed about ourselves and replace them with a new identity built on God’s Word. The truths in this beloved epistle speak to the core beliefs we carry about ourselves, revealing to us our part in God’s magnificent design to redeem a people for Himself who reflect His glory to the world. Marian invites us to discover our true worth in Christ, our status as beloved children of God, and our glorious calling as His masterpiece.

WORDview:  1 & 2 Thessalonians/Spiritual Warfare / Cost: $5 / Led by: Jackie Jackson

Every day is a battle!  But in God’s Word, we can be ready.  WORDview uses meditative reading to discern God’s voice and respond to His Word through journaling and prayer.  The class will come together on Wednesday mornings to hear what others have gleaned from the same passages.

Small Talk: Mommy and Me / Cost: $6 / Led by:  Amanda Farrar

For Moms and their kids, ages 2–5
Moms will play with your kid one-on-one in sensory stations with talking prompts to equip you with intentional Gospel-centered dialogue.

Breathe: Making Room for the Sabbath by Priscilla Shirer / Cost: $14 / Led by: Lori Rogers

One of the greatest challenges among women in our culture is taking time to cease from all the activities and just breathe. We are in bondage to busyness. We constantly strive to complete the limitless to-do lists that hinder us from experiencing all God has for us. By neglecting time for tranquility, serenity, and repose, we limit our Christlikeness and miss out on some of God’s greatest gifts. In the Old Testament, the Sabbath was given to the Israelites as a gift, which is still a gift to us today. If you are weary, worn out, and exhausted, then the concept of the Sabbath will change your life.

Kids

We LOVE kids here at FBC! We aim to provide a fun, safe, interactive, and relational atmosphere tailored just for kids! We strive to partner with families to help kids Know God intimately, Love God passionately and Serve God selflessly. We do this in various ways, using age-appropriate tools to seize every opportunity for meaningful ministry.

Mid-week Scripture Memory & Worship for Kids 4 years – 5th Grade | 6:30 PM

FBCKidz REMIX is our mid-week ministry for kids! It is an incredible opportunity for kids to bring their friends to church.

They will experience a time of kids-style worship, lessons from the Bible, Scripture memory fun, wild and crazy games, and delicious snacks.

Birth – 3 years | 6:00 PM

Our Bible-based childcare is available for kids from birth through 3 years old. Your kid will learn the truth from the Bible through music, crafts, and fun activities.

Youth

FBCYouth exists to reach, disciple, and equip youth as they live life on mission. We disciple youth through small groups, Bible studies, corporate worship events, summer camps, and mission trips.

FBCYouth meets in the Youth Building from 6 – 8 PM for fun games, great worship, and solid biblical teaching to help them handle life as a teenager.

Worship Choir

Multi-generational worship is edifying to everyone who participates and observes as songs of praise and testimony are sung, and the powerful truth of God’s Word is proclaimed. Our worship of God on Sunday mornings should be an overflow from our personal experiences with God during the week.

Be a part of the Worship Choir at rehearsals from 6:30 PM – 8 PM on Wednesdays in the Choir Hall behind the stage in the Worship Center.

Adults

Are you looking to grow deeper in your faith or navigate this crazy world as a parent? You can do all of that on Wednesdays at FBC.

Classes are Wednesday nights from 6:30 to 7:45 PM.

The harsh reality of where we find ourselves today is that the climate created by our culture is posing overwhelming challenges for the family. The church must come alongside families with Gospel-centered tools that will provide answers and hope in the midst of the daily battle families face. For this reason, we are launching a strategic Wednesday Night initiative in January called “Family Matters.”

This 15-week study will provide a gospel-centered foundation for all matters of the family. Each week, we will bring experts in specific areas of marriage and parenting to give practical instruction and offer opportunities for helpful discussion. Led by Pastor Jason and Pastor Daniel, Family Matters promises to provide much-needed support and encouragement for families in our church and community.
