Over the past year, our church family has been on a meaningful journey through the Legacy Initiative—seeking to faithfully steward what God has entrusted to us and make room for the next generation. Throughout January, we are celebrating this one-year milestone and sharing where we are, what has been accomplished, and what lies ahead.

One-Year Legacy Update (Shared in Worship)

This brief video was shared during worship services and provides a high-level update on Legacy Phase One.

In this update, you’ll hear about:

  • Progress on the Worship Center seating expansion and Children’s Building renovation project
  • A transparent snapshot of where we are financially
  • An exciting new opportunity related to the Children’s Building

Go Deeper: Detailed Financial & Process Update

For those who would like a more thorough explanation, this extended video walks through the Legacy project in greater detail.

In this video, members of the Facilities Ministry Innovation Committee (FMIC) share:

  • A detailed financial overview of both Legacy projects
  • Why certain costs have increased and how the team is stewarding resources wisely
  • How the Church Council, FMIC, and Children’s Building Design Team worked together to reach a unified recommendation
  • Details surrounding the proposed Children’s Building lobby expansion

Upcoming Church-Wide Vote of Affirmation

As shared during worship, we will hold a special-called business meeting on Sunday, February 1, 2026.

At this meeting, our church family will be asked to participate in a church-wide vote of affirmation regarding the proposed next step in the Legacy project. This recommendation reflects the consensus of the Church Council, FMIC, and the Children’s Building Design Team.

We encourage every member to:

  • Watch the videos above
  • Pray thoughtfully
  • Come prepared to participate as we move forward together

Thank you, church family, for your generosity, your prayers, and your continued trust as we seek to follow God’s leading together.
