The Malawi group left Wednesday morning after a group of prayer warriors gathered to pray and send them off. They are currently on a long 12-hour layover in Frankfurt.

Here is an update from church member Lori Rogers:
We arrived in Frankfurt and rested in a day room in the airport. We will leave Frankfurt for Addis Ababa at 10. It is 1:40 PM at home, and 8:40 PM here in Frankfurt. Praying that as we begin to weave, God will provide the thread to knit the people of Masinja Village, Malawi, into the body of Christ !! Sending hugs!! 🥰

We’ve arrived safely in Malawi! 🇲🇼 After 40+ hours of travel, our mission team of nine is finally on the ground—and we are overwhelmed with gratitude.

At the airport, women from the Divine Mission Ministry Bible study group joyfully welcomed us with singing and dancing. They gifted the women on our team with beautiful wraps and the men with handmade African necklaces—a touching sign of love and honor. We were also deeply blessed to be greeted by Chief Kasiya herself at the airport.

This evening, the Board of Directors hosted a beautiful welcome dinner, prayed over us, and gave us thoughtful gifts. Their gratitude for our presence is humbling, and already, we can feel God’s Spirit at work.

Thank you for praying for us here! 🇲🇼🙏

Today marked Day 1 of teaching and training leaders in the village of Masinga—and what a powerful start! Over 85 people were trained using the Foundations for Emerging Leaders model.

We began by investing in a core group of committed disciples, followed by a session specifically for the men in the village. The goal of this training is to:
📖 Equip emerging leaders to rightly handle the Word of Truth
🧩 Provide an overview of the Bible and how it fits together
👥 Empower local leaders as facilitators of long-term discipleship

Participants were deeply engaged and began sharing what they learned before the day ended. It was truly a fruitful and Spirit-filled day!

Thank you, church family, for standing with us in prayer and support—your partnership is helping raise up faithful leaders here in Malawi.

Grateful for teamwork across continents and right here in Masinga Village today! 🙌 With leadership and plans from Jack Kassinger and Kris Campbell (back home), and the incredible skill and dedication of the men here, a beautiful outdoor stove next to the school has been built. These men are true craftsmen, making their own bricks, mixing mortar, and working with heart and purpose to support their community. 💪🔥 The stove will be used to cook porridge for the children during school days and bless many with warm meals. We can’t wait to test it tomorrow!

Zikomo kwambiri, Church Family! (Thank you so much!) 💛🇲🇼
Because of your prayers, support, and generous hearts, today at Divine Mission Ministry in Masinja Village God’s love was overflowing—and you were part of every moment.

Children laughed and learned during VBS, hearing Jesus’ call to be fishers of men. They played joyfully and received toothbrushes and toothpaste to help care for their smiles. The youth grew in confidence through soccer drills, team-building, and the reminder that they are deeply loved by God—plus s’mores to sweeten the day! ⚽🔥

The women gathered for a devotional on Dorcas, reflecting on the power of simple kindness. They laughed, sang, learned new sewing skills, and received needle books and a sewing machine that will soon bless many. 🧵 The men worked together to build a fence around the pigpen and helped put up a goal on the soccer field—a lasting gift for the whole community.

There was singing, dancing, and the unmistakable joy of Christ’s love lived out loud. The beautiful spirit of Masinja Village—their hospitality, unity, and joy—shined in every activity.

Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus from afar. You made this Mission of Love possible.

To our amazing family at First Baptist Church Boerne — thank you for your incredible support in building new pig pens for Divine Mission Ministry in Masinja Village, Malawi! 🐖

So much has been accomplished, and the local men not only completed the project but also learned new skills. Excitingly, more pigs have already been purchased, planting seeds of sustainability for the ministry.

Zikomo kwambiri! (Thank you so much!) ❤️

We are grateful for our training, which proved invaluable when our van broke down. Stopping in a village allowed us to turn a setback into ministry, sharing the foundations of faith with over 50 children under a star-lit African sky.

Huge shoutout to Kris Campbell from First Baptist Church Boerne! Your commitment to missions shines, and because of your support and Jack Kassinger’s hands-on help, we built a new stove pipe in just two days. 🔥

This stove will save wood, reduce smoke for the women cooking, and streamline meal prep for over 230 children fed daily. Your impact is felt worldwide, Kris. ❤️
