Monday, June 9
Our Yucatan mission team landed in Cancun, settled into their lodging, and jumped right in by ministering to our pastors and missionary partners. They provided a date night for the married partners and their wives, while the team entertained their children. The single pastors, Victor and Alex, were treated to a nice meal and fellowship with some of our mission team members while they planned the activities for the week. A major goal of this trip will be to encourage and strengthen our mission partners who have tirelessly served in this area for over 20 years.
Wednesday, June 11
Our Yucatan team had a productive day yesterday! Half of the team served at Iglesia Vidalife Ranchito, a mission outreach area, where they made home visits, prayed for families, and shared the gospel. They also hosted a children’s program for the local children. The other half of the team served at Vidalife Milagro 1, another mission plant, where they blessed the local church members by pouring a concrete floor.
Today, the team will visit Puerto Morales and a local church there.
In addition, they will visit a new, small jungle village called Nacozari, where they will spread the name of Jesus through village ministry and a kids’ program. They will also assist in a medical brigade today and deliver food pantries to families in the area. It will be a busy day for our team and our missionary partners!! Pray for ears to hear and open hearts to believe, as the team prays for and witnesses to many people today!!
Friday, June 12
Our Yucatan team has been engaged in being the hands and feet of Christ! Yesterday, they served in a community called Cuna Maya, where our YWAM Cancun missionary partners have established an outreach ministry and a school called Kingdom Academy. Our team shared a worship time with the students at the school and presented small gifts to them. Then they painted, worked on two sidewalks at the school, helped build a house foundation for a family, put concrete on the school roof to prevent leaks, and encouraged the moms through a ladies’ gathering!! In addition, they shopped for and delivered groceries to families in need, praying for them and sharing the Gospel message! What a day of blessing!
Monday, June 16
It has been a whirlwind of divine appointments as our team finished their week in the Yucatan! They celebrated with team member, Kelly Seals, at his baptism in the Caribbean! They held a bazaar in downtown Cancun where they gave away needed clothing, prayed for families, and shared testimonies with all the participants! The ladies presented a training conference at Vidalife Downtown Church, and the youth shared testimonies and had lots of bonding time with local youth. The team also spent more time pouring into the students and families of Kingdom Academy !
Through it all, the name of King Jesus was high and lifted up !!
As they head home today, pray that God will change hearts, both in our team and in all the people they touched! To God be the glory for His work in the Yucatan!
